Admissions Advice

Will one D and 2-3 Bs ruin my college application?

Im taking a really hard class that is not even weighted. I might get a D ( If i didn't out right fail the class that is) this semester and I already have a B from last year. I REALLY want to get into a UC school. Im super afraid that I may not get in these schools. For context this class is AA2 (algebra 2 accelerated(Algebra 2 +Pre-calc)). The teacher is... not the best (even the counselors agree but cant do anything about it). Anyways its too late to drop the class ( I mean i can but the finals in like 3 weeks...). I really want to get into UC Irvine or UCLA. (I know its a wild dream). I plan on taking about 11 AP's by the end of high school -

My profile rn - I am being super vague about some things for privacy

3.8 GPA (If I'm lucky)

APs i will end up taking by senior year

- AP Calc AB(11)

- AP World ( Im taking rn)(10)

- AP Bio (11)

- AP ES (taking rn)(10)

- AP Psychology (12)

- AP USH (11)

- AP Economics (12)

- AP Stats (12)

- AP Research (12)

- AP Seminar (11)

- AP Lit (11)

no SAT since they don't accept them

ECs

- Club Co-President of "org" x "hs" (cancer organization)(i don't wanna give too much info lol)(they're an international org and we brought a chapter to our hs)

- Developing 2 Research paper (hopefully can win some school or city level awards)

- I have a business project in mind (completely unrelated to above 2 that i might end up doing)

- I recreate somewhat expensive paintings (not all are famous ) and sell them (credit given to the original artist ofc)

I KNOW THIS IS SO LOONG! IM super sorry!!!! But i need HELPPP so pleasee help me im literally having a melt down over this!!! (Indian parents...).

This really depends on which UC school you are applying to. Some might see the D as something more negative, while others won't care too much. Overall, one D won't kill you if you have more strengths in other parts of your college applications.
