I want to go into biophysics/molecular biology but my school offers practically no science extraccuriculars at the high school level, and my family doesn't have the time or money to handle transportation for an internship. How can I show an interest to physics/biology?
Maybe you should consider online dual enrollment classes, which is what I'm doing. Try to find a college that has strong online classes and take science classes. Also there is online volunteering options that you could look into. CollegeVine has an article that has volunteering suggestions and mentions online volunteering.
Hope that helps!
There are many online organizations you can join and volunteer at that will look great on your applications! You can also try teaching classes, find research opportunities, join clubs (there are online clubs as well!), and so much more. :)
To keep this community safe and supportive:
I want to note that some dual enrollment classes are mostly only favored in the state that you took them in. For example, my school offers dual enrollment at the community college, but my school advisor said that the credits are mostly only taken in the colleges that are in your state, and the colleges outside of the state that you took your dual enrollment classes won't "like" the credits as much.
