Is it pointless to apply to certain universities if I'm missing a credit?
Answered

Hey everyone! I was looking at certain out of school universities, and while my state required 3 years of history, and I plan on taking only 3 years due to my school only offering a 4th one online, many schools I am looking at out of state, require 4 years of history. I'm hoping to apply for biology programs, so I'm wondering if it is a automatic rejection if I am one year short for history. Many thanks in advance!

Hello! This does seem like quite the predicament. I'm sure you can email colleges and explain your situation, and they will understand why you only took 3 years of history. I would recommend talking to your counselor too. If you have an otherwise strong application, then it won't be an automatic rejection. I wish you the best of luck!
