I am a sophomore in High school I'm trying to get into west point USMA but I have a 3.3 GPA can I get it up to a 4.0 and be in the top ten in my class?
If you are talking about an unweighted GPA, assuming you are taking 6-8 courses a year, there is no way for you to bring a 3.3 up to a 4.0 in 2 years (more like 1 and a half, since you will turn in your application before the end of senior year). If you are talking about a weighted GPA, it is possible... if you overload your schedule with AP classes (or maybe honors) and receive high A's in all of them. Obviously, this all depends on how many classes you take and how your school handles its GPA system. Your class size/competitiveness determines what you need to achieve a top 10 ranking, but considering top 10 students typically keep above a weighted 4.0, it's unlikely.
But have no fear! West Point and the other academies do not require a 4.0 or being in the top ten of your class. It is helpful for the application process, but by no means necessary. Academies take several factors in to the admissions process; grades are not the only aspect of the packet you will be submitting your senior year. You also need strong leadership experience, strong extracurriculars (typically athletics), a nomination, a passing CFA, and a pass on your DoDMERB. Keep your hopes up and keep working on it!
