AP Precalc or Honors Algebra 2?
Answered

I am faced with a pretty big decision: Take Honors Algebra 2 over the summer and take AP Precalc my Sophomore year, or just take Honors Algebra 2 normally. I was originally trying to do Alg2 over the summer and take Calc AB next year, but just found out I can't. I want to take Calc 3 Senior year, but now I don't think I can. What should I do for T20 schools? Alg2 normally or Precalc?

DO AP PRE CALC OMG PLEASE!!!!

So i did Honors Algebra Two last year and it’s really not that hard. You definitely want to understand the trig stuff but it’s basically just algebra one with some extended things. Except for the last unit- but don’t waste your year on that. You can learn the unit circle pretty easily, in my opinion!

I’m a sophomore right now, and taking AP Pre-Calc. It’s manageable. Unless you already have a lot going on this summer or you struggle a lot with math, definitely take this next year. And anything that you didn’t fully understand from Algebra two should be, at the very least, reviewed.

:)))) GOOD LUCK!!👍
