College Course (?)

Hello! I have a question about maybe doing a college course next year: Physics 2 (or whatever is the equivalent of AP Physics 2) Now, I want to do this because I eventually want to participate in the Physics Olympiad (probably Junior year) and crave knowledge. I would be taking this college course concurrently with AP Physics 1. However, a problem is that I have never taken a high school physics course, and would be taking AP Physics 1 and 2 with no background knowledge. However, I do plan on using Khan Academy to help fill in some gaps of my knowledge. My question is: Do I take this college course next year (sophomore year), or do I not?

I would say take it with AP Physics 2. The Physics 1 and 2 classes are designed to be taken without a previous physics class, and if you supplement it with Khan Academy, it will definitely help. It will also be good preparation for Physics Olympiad, since you will get the E&M topics that show up on USAPhO. Always challenge yourself, and it seems like you are passionate about physics, so go for it!
