Latin as a language in high school
Answered

At my high school, Latin is offered as a possible language you can take. I heard seniors saying that taking Latin is bad for your college admissions chances. I'm pretty sure that this isn't true already, but I just wanted to confirm

Does anyone have an expert opinion on this topic? Thank you

Taking Latin in high school is not necessarily bad for your college admissions chances. In fact, colleges often appreciate students who challenge themselves by studying less-common languages, as it can demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a strong work ethic. However, it's essential to consider your overall academic and extracurricular profile and how Latin fits into it.
