Admissions Advice

Studying in China for 10th grade.

I am planning to spend 10th grade in China. I attend an IB school and they allow me to take 10th grade abroad. The reason I am choosing China is because I speak at HSK 3 level due to studying since age 5. I am Mexican American and am fluent in Spanish. I have visited China and found it to be safe and modern. I will have family friends that live near the boarding school that I attend. I am just wondering if this would be seen as a positive on a college admission. Where I attend IB the points for an A are 13 points. The classes in China if I get an A will be weighted as a 10. I have a high GPA now with all As in my IB classes. I want to go to experience a different culture and become fluent in writing and speaking Mandarin. I just need to weigh my GPA, rank against a once in a lifetime experience. It is an international boarding school in China so it is taught in English but 70% of students are Chinese and Chinese class is mandatory for me.
