Extracurricular Help at a Small School

Hi!

I am a current high school junior at a small (200 kids) dual enrollment high school. I am interested in biology and data science. I do not have that many extracurriculars. I have only volunteered at local elementary schools. What volunteer opportunities should I look for? How can I show leadership in extracurriculars? What can I do to get a good extracurricular profile to stand out? I am looking into applying to UCs and know that they value extracurriculars highly.

Thank you.

You can start volunteering more in organisations, look for internships, or start a club in school. You could even start a podcast on Biology and Data Science. Since you like Biology, start research with the help of a mentor (a mentor is necessary ) and publish it as an article.

Hope this helps
