how do u get scholarships

every time I google scholarships I just get a bunch of sketchy sites asking u to put ur email to enter the scholarship and then they bombard me with emails like "quick!! dont miss out on the scholarship enter it now." my high school has a website where it shows u possible opportunities to help u but for some reason they have sketchy sites on there. so whenever I try them out it doesnt work and feels fake af

how do I find real offers of scholarships? and how the heck do people get a full ride. are there any scholarships where u dont have to do teachers/counselor reccomendation?

Sign up for scholarship search things like bold.org or unigo or whatever. There’s a lot with essays, random draw, or for specific things. People mostly get full ride from really good athletics or academics, straight from the college. There’s some more selective scholarships with large amounts from places like coca cola and national merit. Sometimes the websites seem sketchy but they work, just research a little before you tell them personal info. Also don’t pay to enter anything. Good luck

The College Board has an area of their website dedicated for scholarship searching. Its free to sign up and you can find scholarships based on keywords (things that will apply to you). I don't think you can get a full ride through there, but they do have some worth a couple thousand dollars. Its worth checking out.
