How much does a B in a major-related course matter?
Answered

Hi! I am currently a senior in high school and I am a little worried about a B I have in AP Econ. It's a class based entirely on tests so I doubt I will be able to get it up by much (not the best test-taker here). I'm mostly worried because I plan to major in Economics and I'm also applying to really selective colleges (ex. UChicago). Would this be a deal-breaker for them?

A B in AP Econ isn't a big deal-breaker, especially for selective colleges like UChicago. Just know that they also evaluate applications holistically, considering your GPA, course rigor, extracurriculars, essays, and recommendations. Just try to get A- on that course.
