Should I study abroad?
Answered

A little background about me, I have learned Chinese as a second language since kindergarten (currently a junior in high school), and I got a 4 on the AP test and have my seal of biliteracy. In the summer of 2025 I got a scholarship to go to China for free and I loved it. I was thinking about studying abroad at one of their universities for a year. I have perfect grades so I know how to study and speak the language. Should I try to apply?

Absolutely it sounds like a great fit for you. You’ve already proven you can handle the language and culture, and studying abroad would deepen that experience even more.

Plus, spending a year at a Chinese university would look great on future applications and give you skills most students don’t get from a classroom alone.
