Admissions Advice

is there a certain college that is the best for me?
Answered

Hi everybody! I am currently a junior in high school and I want to major in either criminology or psychology and I want to know what colleges I should apply to?

Grades/Classes:

Straight A's, 4.73 GPA, 3 on AP world, 4 on AP Chinese and AP Seminar. Freshman year took the basic classes but honors versions. Sophomore year took AP Seminar, Geometry 1-2 H, AP Chinese, Wind Ensemble, AP World, Chemistry. Currently taking APUSH, AP Bio, AP Lang, Chinese Capstone, Algebra 3-4 H, Wind Ensemble.

Extracurriculars:

Marching band for two years (section leader for one), winter guard for one year, color guard for one year, ceramics one year, Chinese since kindergarten (now in Chinese Capstone which is the highest level).

Clubs:

Global studies (secretary)

National Honor Society

Science National Honor Society

Mandarin National Honor Society

Jazz band

Connect U Club (studies of the problems around the world and solving them)

Certificate of Academic Distinction

Ted Ed Club

Misc:

I tutor Taiwanese kids in English to volunteer every week and I'm also included in the Taiwanese Pen Pal Program. During school I get taken out to tutor kids in subjects that they need help with.

Reaches are Stanford, Yale, and Northwestern, to have a better chance you need your SATs, hard targets and targets are UC Berkeley and UCLA. For safeties definitely search for public universities near you or smaller privates you can go to for cheap and transfer later. Impressive resume though. Good searching.
