I'm a junior and my school offers college classes. This year I am taking BIO 101 and BIO 102 at the college. I was planning on doing another science at the college next year, but my dad is worried about me not having physics on my transcript for college. I have taken biology honors and chemistry honors at my school (there are no AP options). I want to be a childlife specialist and plan on majoring in psychology. My unweighted GPA is 3.950. Do I need to take physics next year?
Definitely take physics in high school while you have the chance. Especially because you are a STEM student, you may be held back from some courses due to the lack of exposure to physics. I know your case is different because of your major, but my teacher tried to major in physics, but couldn't progress past a minor because he didn't take high school chemistry. My recommendation is that you take physics now, because it will be a huge plus for colleges to see the physics, chemistry, and biology trifecta and will prevent any potential hindrances course-wise later.
Even if physics is STEM and linked with psychology, I don't think physics is important in your dream. I would rather be taking online AP Chem or seek for an online AP classes, since majority of top universities ask you to take an challenging course.

I would take it if that's a health care profession. I'm going to be a CNA and I needed to take it.
