What are my chances of getting into at least 1 of 8 ivy leagues?Answered
I currently have an average ~14-15% chance of getting into each Ivy League, with some (like Princeton) higher than others (like Yale). If I apply to all 8 Ivy League colleges, what are my chances of getting into at least 1? I want to make sure it's a worthwhile gamble to apply to all of them, since I'll spend over $600 on application fees.

Okay, first of all, I wouldn't recommend applying to all 8. I'm not sure why you're applying to all 8, of course, but I will assume you just want to get into an ivy league for the prestige. I can tell you from hours of research that the Ivies are very different, just like all other colleges/universities; they all have very different school spirit(s), academic missions, curriculum standards, extracurricular offerings, etc. In other words, I would do some research and reconsider applying to all 8. Maybe a few fit you, but I wouldn't think all 8. I'm just trying to save you from a waste of money, and potentially time if you enroll in a school just because of its prestige to end up hating it. I don't mean to belittle you or indicate your application is "too weak", I'm just trying to save you time and make sure the resources you spend on your applications aren't wasted on a school you don't really like.
That said, I'm not sure about chancing. Even this website's chancing is flawed---the AI can't ever really know you or read your full profile/application. I would just keep in mind FIT. How well do you fit with the school? If you don't fit with it, there's no reason to go there---why would you want to go to a school you don't like?
Genuinely, it is not worth it to apply to all eight Ivies. Think about your major. There are plenty of other elite schools out there that likely have better programs than some of the Ivies in that field. Sure, a couple Ivies might excel in that program, but not all eight will be as elite as other schools. Applying to all eight just because you can in a waste of money and likely not worthwhile. Think about which ones you would actually want to attend and why. Also, applying to schools "just because" could take away spots from people who have wanted to be there for ages because it's their dream school, not just because it has prestige. What's your intended major? You could look for school suggestions on the School Suggestions forum. Overall, apply to schools that fit what you want- not just because they're good schools.
