Im a female, freshman, class of 2029. Ever since I was really little my dream has been to go to Notre Dame. My family is very centered around ND, and its basically my home away from home. Currently, my chances of getting in around to the chance-er is a 22% out of the usual 15%. I was a the gifted-program from 3rd- 8th grade. Long story short, I want to increase my chances of making it. Im aiming to take at least 5 APs and 15 Honors. Should I make this higher? Also I do a LOT of extracurriculars. Is there any specific ones that might help me more than others? I just want a basic pathway/ goal/ or sugestions on how to make my application as formidable as possible. It means a lot to me and Im very determined to make it. Thank you!
A lot of extracurriculars might not be so good since you're planning to take 15 honors, the course load might strain you and you might not finish with a 4.0 unweighted which should be your goal. Instead focus on ones that show you're ready for your major. Notre Dame is very selective so you need to show them that you can thrive in the major you choose. Also, if you think you're smart enough, convert some honors to AP to boost your weighted GPA, but you should concentrate your APs to what your major is. A good extracurricular is ASB or student government, however if you have schedule room I recommend Avid if your school offers it. Also start preparing for the SAT now, or ACT, though I recommend SAT. Good Luck! I hope you make it!

Thank you for the help! What is Avid? I don’t think my school offers it.
