How do you make the ultimate decision to go to a college?

My son is getting acceptances from local California universities and some on the east coast/mid west. They are all fairly similar, some better ranked than others. How do people make the ultimate decision to choose a college?

Its a little bit of everything honestly. If you want to find the best college for your son, I would start with finding which ones are in your price range after scholarships and aid. Then create pro's and con's lists. Take everything into account. Such as living situations, dining, how good the colleges academics are, how far from home it is, if you like the college campus, etc. You should consider everything that's important to your son. After you create the lists, see which ones make the most sense for your son. Then once they are narrowed down, it's whichever college he likes the most, whether he likes it because of the campus or the affordability. Hope this helps!
