TL; DR: I took the SAT twice and studied between them and got the same score. Help!
Hello! I'm a junior and I'm at a loss. I took the December SAT and got my results back Friday. For reference, here are my September SAT results:
SEPTEMBER: 1290
710 English, 580 Math
I did some more studying and took the PSAT in October and got a 1330, which roughly translates to a 1410-1470 on the SAT. I studied a lot more for the December SAT than the September, really getting the hang of Desmos and all that. I took the December; it was a bit harder than September. I get my score back, expecting at least a 1330.
I open the page, and it says I got a 1290: 710 English and 580 Math.
I thought it was a joke or mistake. I got the exact same score on both sections. I looked at the score breakdown and I improved or got the same on every section except for one (breakdown of that at the bottom of post). Now I'm at a loss. I really worked hard, and I really need to get my scores up for the colleges I want to go to (my top school has a 25th percentile of 1440). I know I can do better and I'm going to study a ton over the winter but if anyone has any advice on improving that would be lovely!
My only explanation for how I could have possibly gotten the same score is that I got the easier 2nd math module on September and the harder on December but did worse on it.
