LOCI help
hey!
so i was deferred from uchicago right. i was deferred from a different school as well, and they had a spot for me to send my LOCI (letter of continued interest) within the portal. however, it appears Uchicago does not!
it says: "If you would like to update us on your recent accomplishments, we would be glad to review additional materials. We prefer that you submit these materials through the Portfolio in your UChicago Account."
does this include my LOCI or should I send it by email?
additionally, i saw on reddit that many schools think LOCIs are inorganic and "an eye roll". is this actually true or should i stop being paranoid over the things i see on reddit?

I'm not sure about UChicago but, I normally send LOCI to my admissions counselors if there is not a specific spot for it. And, most colleges do love LOCI's because it shows that you really want to go to their college and your not just applying as a backup.
