Hi yall, this is my first post. I am a sophomore picking classes for next year. So far, I have AP Lit, AP Bio, AP Calc AB, APUSH, Wind Ensemble, IB Spanish SL-B, IB Econ, and Study Hall. So the problem is idk if I should keep IB Econ for junior year, or save it for senior year. I want to take APCS instead, either principles or a. My parents want me to jump into a, but I have no coding experience except when I tried HTML when I was 10 and hated it :( My dad said he will help me w it esp in the summer, but idk.. I could do a sequential order, like take principles and then a & IB Econ in 12th grade... I want to major in Information Science ig, I don't really know yet. Senior year I want to take AP Lang, AP Calc BC, AP GOV, Wind Ensemble, and AP Psych, for reference, along w IB Econ or APCSA, depending on what y'all say. I am truly lost because I feel like I don't know what I want to do, but will probably end up in STEM b/c of the benefits and I am Asian... Also, economics is a requirement to graduate for us. Which option looks better for college, I want a rigorous coursload, but I don't want to overwhelm myself and fail yk? Also, idk If I should switch out AP Bio for AP Physics...? My weakest subjects are math and science, but I need to do good in these.
TLDR; should I keep IB Econ for 11th grade or switch to APCSA or switch to APCSP? Which looks better for college? What career do you think I should do? I am an immigrant, so survival is more important than passion. Like I want to pursue an IR degree, but I am not going to. Do you know a career that's like a mix of everything I like, I was looking at health informatics as well?
Sorry if it's hard to read, and tysm! Feel free to ask any clarifying questions. Sorry this is my first post, and I'm such a crash out 😥
As someone who took APCSA w/o APCSP, taking APCSP first is definitely better if you want to take APCSA. I also had coding experience and still struggled, so if you do go down that track take APCSP first. I'd look at doing maybe a MS in Population Health Informatics or maybe double major, but look for something you enjoy or you will get burnt out quick.

Thank you for replying! More of my friends said that A will be more worth it, and that is what I am leaning towards, do you think I will be able to handle it? I know this goes against what you are recommending, but I feel with help, I should be able to do it.. What did you get on the AP Exam, as well, if you don't mind?
