I am a high school senior trying to stay on top of several college applications at once. Between essays, recommendation letters, and deadlines, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. I’d love to hear strategies from others who have successfully balanced multiple submissions. Any tips on organizing tasks or keeping stress under control would be helpful.
I definitely agree with the previous commenter on making a spreadsheet. I tracked EVERYTHING---recommendation requirements, financial aid deadlines, application login info, etc. It helped so much throughout the process and I got everything turned in on time. Having a checklist also helped a lot, because then I knew when everything was done and ready to submit. Good luck, I totally understand how you feel but it pays off in the end.
I can totally understand! When I was applying, I felt that I was sinking. The best thing that I did was I took the time to make a detailed and clear Google Spreadsheet that included everything that I needed for my applications! Having everything in one space, organized into their different categories saved my life. It made it so much easier to see and have everything in one place so that I didn't feel that I was missing something or going to skip a deadline because it got lost somewhere in the back of my mind!
Good luck, you got this!
It sounds simple, but honestly just make a schedule and set a timer and stick to it. It's tempting to over work yourself but if you give yourself specific time to get it done you can focus more. I also reccomend finding a place where you can focus really well! Also spreadsheets!!! Lay out EVERYTHING you need to do and when it's due so you have it all in one place.
I feel you. November I was literally juggling UC applications with USC EA. To manage your submissions the best thing that worked for me was picking a day to only focus on one application, then switching to the other after a day to just do schoolwork. This works for everything your application should need. Also keep your deadlines in mind the entire time, if you forget, you're kind of out of luck. Good Luck, you can do it!
