I desperately want to go to law school in the future however I'm not sure I can get there with my stats. Im a senior in high school right now with a 3.43 UW GPA and hardly any extracurriculars. I got into my local university - its mainly a medical school with a 81% acceptance rate. Because of my 11 Dual enrollment classes taken, I was planning to transfer after one year at this university. I want to go to university of California, Berkeley or any good credited college on the west coast preferably or in New England!. I know these schools are super hard to get into so could you please give me advice to boost my chances? Ultimately, my goal is to get into a good law school so if you have any advice pls let me know. Thank you!
Since you're talking about law school, which comes after earning one's Bachelor's Degree, the extracurriculars, grades, and classes you take in COLLEGE are more important. They look at high school transcripts, but I know for med school they're way more focused on what you've done recently. Sometimes you can't even get those opportunities to go into your field of interest if you're still in high school. However, I wouldn't argue with joining some meaningful extracurriculars. Just be careful you don't join just for the sake of joining---make sure you're actually interested and make a real impact beyond simple membership.
I strongly recommend trying to participate in extracurriculars. Any hobby you have that your school might have a club for, I strongly recommend joining. Also the more scholarships you apply for shows you are willing to work and put in the effort. Hope this helps!
