Should I ask a teacher who has resigned from their post for a recommendation?
My name is Arianna, and I am a prospective music major. Recently, my music teacher got in trouble and resigned. She is the only person who knows my skills well enough to submit a recommendation. Should I still ask her to submit a recommendation, even though she is no longer my teacher, or should I steer clear of this?

I would say yes ask the teacher but If what the teacher did was really bad or something really serious do not ask. I would also ask for a rec from a different teacher just in case like for a core class.
