What do colleges exactly look at when they look at GPA

Currently, my estimated unwheighted GPA for the end of junior year is 3.5; however, this year I have received all A's so far, and my semester weighted GPA was a 4.57, which is far more impressive than my 3.75 unwheighted overall. I heard somewhere that colleges specifically consider your freshman and junior years when evaluating your GPA. Are they looking for an increase? a consistent gpa? Am I geeked or locked in because of my major increase in GPA in 11th grade? Pls lmk
