I am a current junior at UMiami and I am really unhappy with my major and the career choices it leads me. I’m a music major and I want to go back to STEM. I’m originally from South Carolina and i’ve been filling out transfer applications to UofSC and Clemson to transfer into engineering in the fall. I have a 3.85 GPA in music and i’ve taken calculus and have minors in other things. Would it be possible to switch this late? I know I would practically start undergrad over and be there for 2.5-3 years, and honestly with how much UM costs and how much the instate schools would cost and the possibility to go into what I really want, it would be worth it to me. Would it be better to finish this degree than go for a second bachelors? Or try for the transfer?
You can change your major through Mid-May. It would definitely be possible to switch it, though I would think carefully on whether you want to change, as once you start next semester, you have to declare a final major.

I will say, University of south Carolina you are to late to transfer to. Clemson you can still transfer to until your senior year as long as you have a 2.5 cumulative GPA (Though a 3.0 is preferred.)
