I am a current freshman in high school and I’m participating in clubs like HOSA, FBLA, Model UN, beta club, and tri-m honors society. I want to join national honors society next year and I wany to get into a prestigious university, so I want to make the most out of these extracurriculars before I apply to college.
Would Model UN be more ideal for pursuing a career in medicine or FBLA? Model UN has public health committees and environmental committees and more frequent conferences which I like, but FBLA has career, presentational, and health events too for conferences. They’re both competition based clubs which I want to work in besides HOSA. I want to be in enough clubs to show leadership and dedication in each one but I don’t want to overwhelm myself, so I want to get rid of one so I can make space for national honors society next year. Which should I choose?
