I have some niche ECs but honestly, they aren't even matching the path I want to take in university. I mostly revolve around playing this specific game where I founded a club, competed in amateur tournaments and have a YT channel but other than that I only do a varsity sport, private tutoring, some arts, and volunteering. My aim for college is pre-med or something similar.
Although my academics are solid and I know the admissions essays could change things, I'm really not sure if my ECs are related enough.
If you have some sort of impact (say 10K subscribers on YouTube), then your ECs can show your various interests. If you're a freshman or sophomore, just focus on making your stuff more impactful. If you're a junior, try to find something to make more impactful over the summer or use your essays to showcase your interest. You don't necessarily need something to showcase your interest since getting pre-med ECs tend to be pretty difficult.
To keep this community safe and supportive:
If I'm being honest, my YT channel doesn't have that many subscribers but also during summer (I'm a junior), I have summer school so I'm not sure if I have enough time for anything big. I've been procrastinating about signing up for internships and such (totally my fault there) and most of the signups are closed. I might just rely on the essays to get me in.
