Is multiple AP's worth it?

Make sure you research what classes are most relevant to being a chemical engineer. My school offers biochem and analytical science which I'll take next year for pre-med. It's definetely worth it once you get into the rhythm (I'm also taking 6 aps) and if you use any type of planner or calendar that you're sure you can use, take small steps of each class so procrastinating doesn't overwhelm you

I would advise you that repetitive APs (Such as ones very similar in subject) especially when they aren't related to your major or critical to your acceptance may be a waste of energy. Those all seem like very relevant AP classes. I think those APs are "worth it" in the way you are thinking but really it's about your course load limit. It's also important to consider the APs you have already completed and if they cover similar topics as future ones.

Honestly If you have confidence in yourself that you know that can get at least an A or B in these AP classes and a reasonably good score on the AP exams then I would go for it. However If you don't think so or it still seems scary then just like other commentators said, I would focus on those that are relevant to your major and those that you know you do really well in. For example, I would keep AP chemistry I might choose between AP pre calc and AP calc but you could honestly do both but you probably don't want to do both at the same time maybe one of them junior year the other one senior year. If you're good at humanities psychology and English can help if you know you're gonna get a good score on it but if you're not I probably wouldn't because then it's just overload. Generally environmental science is pretty easy even the AP class so you could theoretically do it just to have another AP on your transcript but if you're already really busy I don't see the point I would focus on AP chemistry AP pre calc AP calc Secondarily I would focus on AP English just so you're well rounded and then Based on what you're good at I would choose between AP psychology and AP environmental. I would probably not do both of those because you say you're so busy. Overall you know your own academics I would trust yourself and be aware if it feels like too much or if you feel like you'll be overwhelmed. Try not to burn out and good luck!!

Absolutely. It's one of the biggest things you hear, rigor in your courseload, and those classes help you getting into programs. AP Stats, AP Chem, AP Precalc and Calc are super useful in just getting accepted into programs. Psych, ES are sort of if you're interested in them. English just shows rigor in humanities as well. I took 5 AP's in a year (we have 8 classes total, so one semester was 3/4 classes AP). It teaches you so many skills too, and if you can get the grades then go for it. Make sure you save a couple for senior year too, that's important, not falling off with rigor

with your class load, I think you'll be okay. psych, apes, stats, and depending on the english you're taking (is it lang or lit?) are all really easy, imo. if you work hard in class and balance your time well, it's definitely manageble.

quick question, tho. why ap precal and ap calc in the same year? why not just take one?
