I can't seem to find kinesiology/physical therapy as an option for majors in the chancing profile. The closest I can find to it is public health. Do you guys know what it's called in the chancing profile? Thanks!
Yeah, finding the right path in health and fitness-related fields can be confusing, especially with how schools label majors. I remember going down the same rabbit hole while researching physical therapy programs. Around that time, I also stumbled upon this resource https://madmuscles-review.com/ that breaks down how muscle development and rehab training actually work in practice. It gave me a better idea of what to expect beyond just academic theory, and helped me realize what kind of program I was really looking for. Might be useful if you’re exploring options in kinesiology or applied movement science.
Thanks for the information
If you go to your chancing profile and start typing "physical therapy" in, you should see a field labelled "Health and Physical Education/Fitness."
That should fit what you're looking for.
Hope this helps!
hi there! i'm interested in physical therapy as well!! unfortunately, as I have been researching colleges as well for physical therapy, I don't think colleges offer physical therapy as a major. currently, I'm looking into majoring in psychology to get my bachelors so I can move onto physical therapy schools for another 3 years. i suggest looking into majoring in psychology or biology because you need a bachelors to become a physical therapist. I'm sure public health works as well, as long as you take the classes you need for your desired physical therapy school! good luck!! hope this helped in some way :)

This is correct, most colleges don't offer PT as a major since you need to go to PT school to become one. Kinesiology is definitely a major at big universities though. I'd recommend using "Allied Health Diagnostic, Intervention, and Treatment Professions" in our chancing engine. Or "Health Services/Allied Health/Health Sciences, General"
