Where should I place activism in extracurricular rankings?
Answered

I'm a freshman and I am currently involved with activism as 5 of my extracurricular activities. For privacy reasons, I won't explicitly state which organizations I work with, but I am a state lead in Events and Outreach for a well-known gun reform organization, on the state core team, a school lead, and on my district board for a climate organization, was accepted to a prestigious civic engagement fellowship, run a climate change-centered blog/newspaper with 1,000 followers on Instagram, and work as a youth commissioner on my city council environmental board. I will likely expand my work over the next 2-3 years. Where do I place any of these in my extracurriculars?

there should be a category for Community Service or something along those lines—that's usually what I would put activism into, unless it's something specifically student government-oriented (there should be a category for that as well)

It sounds like community service would fit for a lot of these or even student government for some of the school ones. Actually, I think interest clubs could also be an option for you too. I'd take a look at your chancing profile and see if any of the examples under those categories match what your ECs are.
