What is a Tier 1 activity?
In the extracurricular ranks it goes from A-J I believe, but CV only categorizes in their articles from Tier 1-4. Which letters would make up Tier A?

Id generally say A and most B tiers as tier 1. Tier 1 is national recognition meaning you are in the top 1% of the 1% of an activity. An example would be ranked as a top 10 national student in archery or something like that. For eery tier 1 there probably is 25+ tier 2s.
A small note is the collegevine letter tiers don't cover everything so it may not easily fall into a category so technically a tier C can be tier 1 but the aforementioned paragraph is the answer 99% of the time.

Placing in the International Biology Olympiad would be a Tier 1. Getting selected to a prestigious summer program such as RSI is another example. Starting a Shark Tank caliber business is a Tier 1 activity.
