Accounting - BS

A four-year program at University of the Pacific including study of all functional areas of accounting such as financial, managerial, cost, auditing, federal income tax and accounting information systems.

Applied Mathematics

The applied mathematics major is designed for students who are interested in applying their mathematics skills to problems in the real world, for example, in engineering. Our students graduate with a passion for mathematics and learning and are able to apply the problem-solving skills learned in the classroom to the world around them.

Educator, author, songwriter, producer and music business professional, Benom Plumb has the music business in his genes. Before arriving at University of the Pacific in 2020, Plumb was assistant professor of music industry studies at The University of Colorado Denver.

Cecilia Ruvalcaba

Marketing

Cecilia Ruvalcaba is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Eberhardt School of Business at the University of the Pacific. Dr. Ruvalcaba received her PhD in Marketing from the University of California Irvine. Her research focuses on phenomena related to markets, legitimacy, cocreation, and multicultural marketing in the context of the Hispanic market.

As a professor, my role is to teach students foundational skills and then give them the freedom to find their own creative visions, providing guidance as they construct self-directed bodies of work. The best gift a fine arts instructor can give students is to introduce them to a new creative passion, something that will continue to inspire, motivate, and transform them for the rest of their lives.

Mary J. Lomax-Ghirarduzzi

Communication

Mary J. Lomax-Ghirarduzzi joined Pacific in 2021 as the university’s inaugural vice president for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and chief diversity officer. She is also a professor in the Communication Department. A leader on race, leadership and faith-informed social justice, she is guiding the university through a transformative framework designed to integrate DEI into all aspects of campus life and operations.

Cynthia Eakin

Accounting

Dr. Cynthia Eakin is the Associate Dean and Associate Professor of Accounting in the Eberhardt School of Business. She has over 20 years of teaching experience in all areas of accounting and taxation at both the graduate and undergraduate level.

Eric Dudley

Music

Eric Dudley joined University of the Pacific's Conservatory of Music in 2019. He is a performer and recording artist recognized on an international level, an experienced pedagogue, vocal coach and master-class clinician, and a teacher of both voice and conducting.

Physics and Astronomy

"I share how the universe works, and how we reached our current understanding. My research is in exoplanets, finding and describing planets around other stars. Our ultimate goal is to find planets that have the right conditions for life as we know it."

Religious life

Religious and Spiritual Life works together with our larger university community to promote the health of the whole person. Our goal is to provide spaces and places for you to explore and strengthen your religious or non-faith beliefs and traditions. We also seek to provide opportunities for persons of all different world views and beliefs to be in dialogue. We believe it is important to be in conversations to gain understanding and build bridges amongst our differences. Dialogue is not about debate, point-scoring, apologetics, or proselytization. Dialogue is about listening to and speaking with the other, in the hope of learning and coming to a place of mutual understanding. Further, dialogue is not necessarily an attempt to find or only focus on things upon which we agree, or to reduce things to a lowest common denominator. True dialogue is about working through our deepest particularities with the other, and it need not mean that we lose them or become less committed to our own positions.
