Do you have any preferences for size, location, and weather in mind? And which board did you study in?
I don't have any such preferences...I am just hoping to get into nice, prestigious colleges with scholarship...
I'm from the CBSE board with class rank 1 out of 120 students.
Here's a list of scholarships for international students:
https://scholarshiproar.com/usa-scholarships/
Your academic stats make you a competitive applicant for prestigious universities like Harvard, Princeton, Yale, MIT, Stanford, the UCs (University of California system), Johns Hopkins, etc. You can get scholarships from universities as well as external sources that are mentioned in the above link.
Thank you very much!
You are at a better position than most applicants from India because it is uncommon to take both math and biology in CBSE. I am not sure if it would be financially feasible for you, but giving AP exams can help you earn college credit.
https://international.collegeboard.org/students/ap/taking-ap-india
You will be charged late registration fees for APs, but it will cost less than taking the course in college if you can get the required score. However, confirm that your college gives credit for an exam by going to "AP credit policy search" on CollegeBoard. Another challenge you might face is the lack of nearby test centers. In that case, there's nothing else you can do.
AP exams are scored on a scale of 1-5 (1, 2, 3, 4 ,5) and most top colleges will require you to score a 5 for credit. However, a score of 5 corresponds to getting around 70-75% of the questions correct, so it's not that hard.
If viable, I suggest taking at least AP Biology and AP Chemistry. For deciding which AP Calculus and AP Physics to take, refer the syllabi that can be found on the CollegeBoard website.
Hope this helps!
