I am looking for a school with a good history program. However, I am an average student. My GPA is 3.6, and I have not taken the SAT/ACT yet (I plan on taking them). When I googled schools, mainly Ivy League schools, showed up, and as impressive as that would be, I need to be realistic. So if anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it.
Gettysburg College might be a good safety; Boston College might also be a good reach/target school to look into as well. Although not quite as important I think when it comes to history the atmosphere of the campus (is it in a historical area) should be considered. If you want to spice it up some schools have majors for Marine Archeology which might lead into work through NOAA.
My dad wanted to be a history major, until his teacher told him about how they don’t make a lot of money. If history is your passion, 1. Good choice and 2. That’s what minors are for. Choose what ever major you would like, but you might spend 100k, so make it count.
i get that my dad was a history major lol and is getting his phd rn so i understand that
I am not familiar with colleges that have history majors so I used Ivy assistant:
