My process

(1) Assess a student's understanding of the college application process. (2) Target help to ensure the student has clear direction of their major selection and career goals. (3) Use CollegeVine's tools to assess a student's college list and provide custom advice. (4) Begin to help students craft essays that show admissions officers authenticity, intelligence, and a match for a student's desired major. (5) Elevate all work so every paragraph, sentence, word, and letter is necessary in a student's application. (6) Celebrate together!

“Ms. Prout is truly THE BEST. She is flexible, responds to emails quickly, and elevates ALL of my essays to make them a "slam dunk!" In addition to her essay-enhancing talent, she is extremely knowledgeable about the entire application process. With her help, I have crafted a comprehensive Activities List and Additional Information section, significant aspects of my app that I may have overlooked otherwise. Finally, Ms. Prout gets to know her students deeply, assessing their strengths and personalities to highlight what makes them unique. The intimate support Ms. Prout provides sets her apart from other consultants. All in all, Ms. Prout has made the entire college application process much less stressful for my family and me with her generosity and prowess. Her positive encouragement boosts my confidence and drives me to finish my drafts. Thank you, Ms. Prout!"

Tips for success
1. Prepare for your first session
Plan out the questions and topics you'd like to discuss. If you'd like to work together in the long term, discuss expectations for each other.
