Join us for a guided meditation with University of Richmond's admissions staff. During this stream, UR reps will share some mindfulness and meditation practices to help incorporate into your daily routine!

Whether you're a freshman starting on your college journey or a senior in the midst of application season, this breather is just what you need to unwind.


Roger Mancastroppa is in his fourth year as the Associate Director for Academic Skills at the University of Richmond where he assists students individually and collectively with academic skill development. Mancastroppa helps students transition from a rote memorization learning style to conceptualizing information through the engagement of their meta-cognitive executive functions. He coordinates the Peer Academic Skills Tutor program (PAST) and assists with the coordination of the Peer Advisor and Mentor program (PAM).

Undergrad College: Rice University '20

Work Experience: During my time at Rice, I mentored dozens of high school students through the college application process, along with editing essays and tutoring students for the ACT/SAT. I also interned at a medical technology startup, conducted research in Brazil, and gave a TEDx talk. I recently finished applying to medical school; I've been admitted to multiple schools, and will be starting in the Fall.

My Admissions Story: I remember feeling very blindsided by the admissions process and not knowing where to begin. I hope that sharing my experiences and some of the things I’ve learned along the way will help guide other students in a similar boat.
