Bio
Hi, I'm Reuben! I am an orchestral conductor, math tutor, I graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Harvard University, and then received my master's of music in orchestral conducting at the Johns Hopkins University Peabody Conservatory. I am the founder and music director of the Boston Orchestra Book Club, an ensemble focused on education, equity, and community engagement. For years, I have played bassoon in many orchestras, including the National Youth Orchestra of the USA and the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra. I was music director of the Harvard Bach Society Orchestra and have conducted the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. I have done research in math that has resulted in a paper submitted for publication. I am also a powerlifter, origami artist, and photographer! Through my varied interests, I have come to understand how all facets of your personality make you into an interesting, valuable, and wonderful person, and I am here to help those qualities shine through in your applications. I look forward to working together and helping you reach—and surpass—your goals!
