University of Florida has shut down campus visits and tours due to the coronavirus outbreak, and many families are worried about choosing a college without being able to visit in person and get a feel for campus life. In this Q&A session, we'll ask our panel of UF students a series of questions about everything ranging from campus life to athletics to the classroom experience. Webinar attendees will also get to participate in the second half of the Q&A.
Kevin Trejos is a third-year Finance and Political Science major from Broward County, Florida. On campus he is involved in the Hispanic Student Association - where he serves as Treasurer, Student Government - where he represents the Heavener School of Business and Chairs the Latinx Caucus, the Bob Graham Center - where he is a member of the Student Fellows, and is an active member of Florida Blue Key. Off campus, he serves on the City of Gainesville’s Student Community Relations Advisory Board and previously co-founded the March for Our Lives organization.
Kristen Cushen is a third year psychology major and sociology minor on the pre-law track from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. On campus, she is the Service Director for Kappa Alpha Theta as well as the Assistant Director of the Disability Affairs branch of Student Government. She is also a Teacher's Assistant for the course Developmental Psychology.
Nicholas Meyer is a third year international studies major with a minor in international development and humanitarian assistance. As a resident of Florida, but having parents who live in Virginia, he understands the struggles unique to out-of state students. On campus, he is actively involved with Student Government where he serves as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Student Body President.
