About this livestream
In this session, you'll sit down with two Baylor University admissions officers to discuss what it's like to attend a Christian university. Baylor is a place where research, scholarship and faith guide the mind in understanding the complex diversity of God's creation and prepare the whole person for service and leadership.
Meet the admissions officers:
My name is Jordan Smith, and I am from Keller, Texas. While I was at Baylor, I majored in Anthropology and studied Creative Writing and Poetry as a minor. Baylor’s outgoing, kind, and caring professors, combined with the feeling of family and community all over campus, was my favorite part of being a Baylor student. Baylor was one of the first places that I truly felt like I belonged – I loved it so much that I even got married on campus! Being an admissions counselor is so fulfilling for me because it combines the two things that I love most: meeting new people from diverse backgrounds and sharing my Alma Mater. It is so satisfying to help students through the application process from start to finish. Connecting with my students on a personal level to help them realize their goals and make Baylor possible is my passion!
My name is Meagan Wilcox, and I’m from Sacramento, CA. I graduated from Abilene Christian University and majored in Psychology. I started my college journey at a community college and quickly realized how much I craved intentional community and a close knit student body…all things I found when I transferred to Abilene Christian! While in college, I loved being able to get to know my professors on a deeper level (and even did research with one of them) and have the space to grow in so many different ways. As an admissions counselor, my greatest joy is helping students navigate the college process and helping them pick the school that is going to be the best fit for them. I’ve worked for both private and public colleges and universities and truly think there is something special about faith-based institutions.
