Chinaza Ruth Okonkwo graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with Distinction (Honors) and History and minors in Africana Studies and Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies. A Beinecke Scholar, Chinaza also graduated with a Master of Arts in Philosophy during her four years at Penn by sub-matriculating her junior year. As a Marshall Scholar, Chinaza will spend the next few years exploring and studying at the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford. She has worked as an application processing assistant in the Carnegie Mellon University Admissions Department. She is eager to help all students with their goals of getting into colleges and universities across the United States and the United Kingdom.

My process

Despite being great writers in class, most applicants struggle with letting their personalities shine in admission essays. This is because the admission essay's purpose is to be personal, exciting, informative, hopeful, and compelling, unlike typical writing assignments.
