About

Hello! My name is Monique and I'm a proud first-generation college graduate and a current College and Career High School Counselor. My passions include guiding students toward a post-high school plan and empowering them along the process. While the college application is a stressful one, I try to make it as easy as possible for students and their parents.

My process

For students that already know what colleges/career they want to pursue, I offer them a list of college based on their location, major, and college type preference along with utilizing their GPA to scale safety, target and reach schools.

For students that have no idea what college/career to pursue yet, I have them take a career assessment and work backwards into finding colleges with possible majors that they're interested in.

I aim to take a holistic approach during my process by learning all sides of the student in order to best guide them.

Tips for success
1. Prepare for your first session
Plan out the questions and topics you'd like to discuss. If you'd like to work together in the long term, discuss expectations for each other.
