Hi! I recently graduated with College Honors from UCLA where I double majored in mathematics and geography. Over the past six years I have guided over 75 students and their families through the admissions process from start to finish. I have helped my students gain admission to universities such as MIT, UCLA, UC Berkeley, Duke, Rice, NYU, Cornell, Vanderbilt, Carnegie Mellon, Georgia Tech, the University of Michigan, UT Austin, UCSD, UCSB, UCI, as well as many others! When I applied to college, I was admitted to a number of selective programs, like UCSB's College of Creative Studies, and was nominated for prestigious scholarships like UC Berkeley's Regents and Chancellor's Scholarship. In my free time I love to do mathematical research, play baseball, surf, cook, and travel the world.
Set a focus for each session or get help with any aspect of the admissions process.
I will guide you on how to build and effectively present an outstanding extracurricular resume. The themed session includes an hour long meeting to discuss how to build and present your extracurricular profile and an hour of offline editing for me to give line-by-line feedback of the extracurricular resume section of your college applications.
Too many reach schools? Can't find any safeties you actually like? This is the session for you. During this themed session I will create a unique and personalized college list for you! This themed session Includes an initial 45 minute meeting to discuss your preferences, goals, and needs, two hours of offline research and list building, and a 15 minute follow up meeting to go over your personalized list.
Come for a full hour-long mock interview and then a half hour of post-interview analysis.
I will help you develop the most important part of a college application, a unique central theme. This themed session is split into three parts. The first is an hour long meeting where we will discuss how to discover, develop, and apply your unique personal application narrative (PAN) and central application theme (CAT). This will be followed by an hour of offline editing/feedback of PAN/CAT materials that I give you after our first meeting. The last part of this themed session is another hour long meeting where we discuss my edits and feedback, and we synthesize a finalized PAN/CAT for your college applications.

“The session was very helpful and gave us an overview of what would be required going forward. Gabe's insights in understanding the requirements for an applicant seeking a math major were especially helpful. Look forward to working with Gabe once we settle on a package that works for us."
Ravi S.“If there was any word that I could use to describe my experience with Gabe, it would be WOW! Gabe, I can't thank you enough for all of help you provided me. You explained what the schools are looking for, provided me with constructive feedback and ideas to improve my essay, and you stayed with me each step of the way until my application was submitted. In the end, I had an essay that truly reflected who I am as a person and as a future university student. After I submitted all of my applications, I took a moment to reflect on what I and my family had went through. The application process is tough. For those of us who are doing it for the first time, it's overwhelming. Please take my advice...reach out to Gabe for help. I promise you that you will be glad you did. Gabe, I couldn't have done this without you. Sincerely, Nikki"
Nikki S.“Thank you, Gabe! I wish you the best of luck wherever life takes you, and may our paths cross again one day. -Jackson Perhaes"
