About

Wendy graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a degree in sociology and anthropology and from Notre Dame of Maryland University with a master’s degree in non-profit management. Prior to working in college counseling, Wendy worked in career services at the Mayor’s Office of Employment Development for Baltimore City. She currently serves as the manager of the Scholars Program at Collegiate Directions, Inc. Wendy loves being outdoors with family, whether it’s just lying in a hammock in the backyard or exploring new parks and playgrounds. She also enjoys picking up new arts and crafts activities (sewing, making cardboard animals with her daughter, and even learning to craft items with her Cricut machine). You can also catch her stickering in her planner!

My process

I strongly believe in getting to know the student, their needs, and their goals. Having a better understanding of who the student is will allow me to better tailor my approach to assist them in achieving their goals. I attentively listen to students and aim to successfully help them take the steps needed towards achieving their end goals.

Tips for success
1. Prepare for your first session
Plan out the questions and topics you'd like to discuss. If you'd like to work together in the long term, discuss expectations for each other.
