About

The college applications process is all about responding to one question: who are you? I am passionate about helping students craft a creative answer. I have been helping students gain admission to the T25 schools of their dreams since 2018. Soon after graduating from Georgetown University with a B.A. in History and minors in French and Russian (I also speak Portuguese), I made college advising my career. I currently mentor students through one-on-one consulting sessions. I specialize in helping international applicants and college essay writing. I also have expertise in MBA applications, and helped an entrepreneur who did not finish undergrad gain admission to the Cambridge Judge MBA program. When I am not advising or hosting a CollegeVine livestream, you can find me taking a road trip or reading a novel in French.

“He is very friendly and works very effectively! It is a pleasure to work with him; he saved me a lot time by correcting grammar and helping me find the right word. I definitely recommend him, especially if you have a draft and want to save time in finding the 'perfect' version."

“The session was very insightful.Just that I had connection problems getting to the end of the session. It was extremely helpful and I learned quite a lot."

“Alex was engaging, personable, and so incredibly helpful throughout my college application journey. He brought clarity and comfort to the college application process which, without Alex, would've been overwhelmingly stressful. From the FAFSA, to college essays, to specific questions about universities, Alex had answers. Not only this, but Alex also provided insightful constructive criticism on all of my essays, helping polish them up or reworking them. Alex is a true essay wizard. If you have any anxieties or questions about the college application process, I highly recommend trying at least one advising session with Alex; you will not be disappointed. "
