Meet the panelist: Maya

Maya is a junior from Annapolis, Maryland, pursuing a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Genomics through the Individual Studies Program (IVSP). Maya was inspired by her Anthropology of Global Health professor who invited her to work as an intern at the "All of Us" Research Program at the nearby National Institutes of Health. As an active member of the Alpha Phi sorority, Maya is involved with leadership and philanthropy. Outside of school, she is a model with The Artist Agency in Georgetown and also enjoys traveling, boating and the outdoors.

Work Experience: I have helped students apply to a range of schools, from small liberal arts colleges like my own alma mater, to big research universities. I spent this last year working as an English teacher in the south of France.

My Admissions Story: As a first generation college student, I understand the importance of quality guidance and am passionate about helping families select and gain admission to schools that fit their needs.
