14:25@lunemoon:What if this was the same student applying from east coast
21:29@lunemoon:It’s a bit confusing how much to hone in on areas of passion
31:06@dishitar:Do you have any recommendations for extracurriculars that align with a potential International Relations Major?
33:48@felipeavila:This is my application, I didn't add that I have taken 4 dual credit courses. Just adding it here!
34:06@dishitar:How have colleges lowered their expectations for extracurriculars due to the pandemic? Especially for the class of 2022 because we lost most of sophomore year and all of junior year to get out and do extracurriculars that demonstrate passion.
36:28@daniel833:I came to the US in 2019 and I will only stay in high school for 2 years. Therefore, many of my extracurricular activities (clubs, tutoring) will only last for around half or one year. Will it hurt my application?
42:46@felipeavila:Yes, I helped author a bill
42:59@lunemoon:I hear schools want geographic diversity these days which gives more hope to those whore not in the region, but you’re saying (for reasons I can understand) that elite schools may still prefer local students I’m on the east coast wanting to go to California
53:22@felipeavila:If we are applying to progressive schools, should we refrain from including certain political extracurriculars?
55:22@dishitar:do UCs only look at 10th grade and 11th grade GPA?
