Undergrad College: Rice University '20

Work Experience: During my time at Rice, I mentored dozens of high school students through the college application process, along with editing essays and tutoring students for the ACT/SAT. I also interned at a medical technology startup, conducted research in Brazil, and gave a TEDx talk. I recently finished applying to medical school; I've been admitted to multiple schools, and will be starting in the Fall.

My Admissions Story: I remember feeling very blindsided by the admissions process and not knowing where to begin. I hope that sharing my experiences and some of the things I’ve learned along the way will help guide other students in a similar boat.

17:20@anonymous:How did you find all these opportunities?
31:03@stemcurious:Can you talk a little more about Eureka ?
36:08@anonymous:What was this class or program called again that you are describing right now?
51:40@anonymous:You've had great access to research opportunities! Would you speak more to life at Rice as well?!
56:18@anonymous:Did you have friends from all different residential colleges?
58:39@anonymous:Were you glad you chose Rice?
59:31@stemcurious:If I am aiming for pre-med track, will it hurt me if I don't take AP world history, APUSH and AP human geography and just go for regular world history, us history? Would appreciate if you can answer this
61:17@anonymous:If I take AP exams for my BC Calc and AP Bio classes in high school, does that help a lot in being able to opt out of the intro classes at Rice? (provided I get a 4 or above on my AP exam?)
64:56@stemcurious:Do you recommend AP stats along with AB and BC for pre-med track?
66:52@Veee:Do you know what happens to students from the UK who have already studied Med at uni and want to go to the US - would we just go to a post-grad medicine course? There's no pre-med in UK
69:55@Veee:Sorry if this is an obvious question, but what's the difference between med and pre-med?
