I got B’s in freshman and sophomore year, can I still get into T10s?
Answered

Hello, I am a current sophomore in highschool and dream school is one of the ivy leagues. I wanted to know if I can still get in with B’s on my transcript? As of right now semester 1 is about to end and I think I will get a B in my (college) precalculus and music classes. I my other B’s are from my freshman year math class in S1 and S2. Other than that I have all A’s in every other class.

Asking for some clarification so I can be most helpful: So, you got 4 B's total from freshman and sophomore year?

Yes (sophomore year isn’t over yet so I still have sem2 to complete)

Hello! Getting into Ivy league with a few B's is possible, although you would most likely have a harder time getting in. If you can get good test scores (ex. SAT, ACT, AP exams), have a strong list of EC's and a good admissions essay you can definitely get in. Ivy schools also take into consideration the difficulty of the classes that you got a B in. Hope this helps!
