Try using CollegeVine's Peer Essay Review feature! If you don't have enough karma, you can review a peer's essay to get it. It'll typically get returned in less than 8 hours, but you can use more karma to fast track the editing process.
Good luck with your application!
If you haven't submitted yet, you can submit your essay for review here on CollegeVine and paste the review link as a comment to this answer, and I'd be happy to read it for you!
Would you be available to read it for me? I'm the same person but using a different account as I had no karma left on that account?
Sure!
Do you see it? Sorry I'm not sure how this works as I literally opened this yesterday!
I just reviewed it. I hope it helps!
Hey, thank you so much for reviewing my essay!!
Also, would you be able to review my "Why US" essay for my final draft?...You could say no :)
Sure!
Hey @Hello and @sny just a friendly reminder that using Q&A to solicit essay reviews is banned under the CG.
I don’t think it’s intentional but just remember it for next time. :-)
No essay reviews are being solicited; he/she asked for their essay to be reviewed and he/she is under strict time restraints so I thought I could help. I wasn’t soliciting; I was asked.
Solicit technically means seeking out and asking. It’s just a synonym for asking for something.
Don’t #3 says quote Don’t ask for essay reviews. You should use peer essay review for safe and fast reviews. Don’t post your sharable essay link on the Q&A to get a faster review. Instead, “fast-track” your essay with karma!
@Debater I appreciate you what you're saying but I'm under extreme stress right now.
@sny will you still help me?
@DebaterMAX Sorry, I do know what solicit means, I just didn’t understand if you meant asking for your essay to be reviewed or asking to review someone’s essay for them. Anyways, @HelloWorld, since I guess I can’t read it, here’s some pointers of what to look for:
1. Make sure the AO can tell that you’ve done your research on the school. Use specifics like a particular course, professor, or club.
2. Make sure that you don’t just discuss what the school can do for you, but what you can do for
the school. Write about how you can fit into the school’s community.
@hello Essays are said to always be reviewed within 12 hours of asking for it. It’s not your fault it’s just a heads up. Good luck with your app!
(if I remember correctly)
Yes I never knew I would end up stressing myself before a few hours of the deadline as I asked my school teachers to review them way before but they clearly forgot, and here I am on this website. I would highly appreciate if you understood my circumstances.
I do. That’s why I said for next time 👌
@sny - will you take a look at my essay?
Sorry, I guess I’m not able to but if you fast track it you may be able to get someone to read it in time. If you look at my 2 points above, those are the main things I would be looking at when reading your essay. If you’re looking for a grammar check, Grammarly is my go-to. Good luck and I’m sorry I wasn’t aware earlier :(
Okay regardless you are awesome!! Thank you for your help!!
No problem :) Good luck and I hope you get into your schools of choice!
Hi there! We hope you were able to get the help you needed, but we just wanted to remind you that the Q&A forum isn't the appropriate place to request essay reviews. As other users have mentioned, you can use karma to fast-track essay feedback.
We wish you the best of luck as you await your ED application results!
Depending on what exactly you need help with if it’s spelling grammar punctuation and not content based you can always use a spell checker. Google Docs Grammarly and a few other are really good high quality free ones. If you need content based the peer review is 100% your best bet.
