Great news! We've been hard at work this past month reimagining what our best response to the Coronavirus crisis would be, and we think we've found it!

More than ever, families are in need of high quality guidance on a broad set of topics, and although written advice is a great start, nothing beats the engagement and interactivity of live events.

Accordingly, building off the success of our first few webinars, we're proud to introduce a near-daily schedule of livestreams featuring expert advice from our co-founder and Head of Data Science, Vinay Bhaskara.

During these interactive live events, you'll not only get advice and answers to your questions, but also learn how admissions officers and schools are handling things behind the scenes. Additionally, we also host events where we invite current college students at schools around the nation to share their experiences and tell you what it's really like on (and now, off) campus.

As always, all of our events are completely free, so we'll see you over at our livestreams page!

The reception for our first two webinars this weekend was exceptional, so we're doing a third session! The format will be similar to last time: 20 minutes of presentation for those visiting us for the first time, followed by the real reason everyone's talking about us: a high-quality Q&A session filled with unique guidance insights and perspectives you won't find anywhere else.

Learn how the Coronavirus will change the 2020-2021 admissions cycle and what the next steps are.
The coronavirus outbreak in the United States has caused sweeping changes to every part of American life, and higher education has not escaped the disruption. Our co-founder, Vinay Bhaskara, will walk through exactly how the college admissions process has been affected thus far for seniors and juniors and share our projection for how the admissions and financial aid processes will change in the upcoming 2020-2021 cycle.

We’ll also open up the floor for a Q&A session to answer any and all questions about admissions, testing, and paying for college.

The webinar will take place on Thursday, March 26th at 7 p.m. EST.

The College Board has canceled in-person AP exams for the May 2020 test dates in response to the growing nationwide outbreak of coronavirus . The replacement will be a 45-minute online free-response exam taken at home on a computer, tablet, or smartphone. These exams will be eligible for college credit.

Because many students had their school years cut short due to COVID-19, the updated exams will only include material that the majority of teachers and students around the country covered in their classes before March.

An exam for each subject will be offered on two separate dates, and the CollegeBoard will release additional information on the test administration (including specific dates) on April 3. The testing software will include several digital security tools (including anti-plagiarism software), but low income and rural students with an inconsistent internet connection will also be able to take a photo of handwritten work. The AP is also working on sending mobile devices or setting up connectivity for affected students.

School's out. You're stuck at home. Oh, and there's a pandemic outside 😬

Hopefully you and your family are safe and successfully socially distancing during these exceptional circumstances. While we're definitely no experts on infectious disease, we would love to help you with any college admissions-related questions you may have.

Our goal is to put together a Coronavirus/COVID-19 information center that aggregates useful information from all around the Internet so you can have it all in one place.

Something we do a little differently from all the others is that we've organized information streams around your school list, so in the coming days, you'll be able to follow specific schools and see it all in one feed (but each post will be six feet apart, of course).

For now, we recommend visiting our Aggregated Datasets that show information for all the colleges out there and how they've been impacted.
Check back often because we're building new functionality every day!
